This is a personal mission essay. It needs to have reference to Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey and Outcasts United by Warren St. John. Here is what is required:Using EACH of our major readings (Your pre-class “choice” and Covey), the Personal Mission Statement handout, and other relevant materials in this course, compose a 5-6 page essay (not including title or reference pages–no abstract is required) on your future goals and/or how your life and work might unfold as a result of your education at Siena Heights. All requirements for this essay are detailed in Doc Sharing- “Final Personal Mission Paper.” Please follow all directions carefully.

In order to receive full credit, this essay must be in APA format, and it must properly cite EACH of the texts (Your “choice” and Covey) we have used in the course. You may also refer to the videos (with proper citation). Ask yourself, how will I use the course materials and the “7 habits” to reach the goals I’ve set in my personal mission statement? The short answer to this important question is your thesis statement. The essay, then, should support this thesis statement using the ideas and information you’ve gained from the course. Demonstrate, through your essay, how well you’ve understood and have synthesized the readings. (This is not simply a book report or a summary of the readings.) Go beyond simple recall and comprehension all the way to the top of Bloom’s Taxonomy–to integration, synthesis and evaluation! Refer to the Course Schedule in Course Home for the due date. Please note: papers that are not a minimum of 5 full pages of text will not receive a passing grade.
