k. How does it evade host-defenses to cause disease?
l. What is the prevalence of this disease in the US? The world?
m. Current diagnosis, treatment and prevention occurs by what methods?

b. Introduction: brief background of the problem or question and the main reasons the study
is being conducted
c. Methods (or materials and methods): the step-by-step sequence of what was done during
the duration of the research

results obtained as it relates to the original question and the researcher’s interpretation of
what the results could mean to the world at large.
c. In the critical analysis of the journal article, answer the following questions at a minimum:
a. In your opinion, were the methods used appropriate to answer the original objectives?
b. Do the results support the researcher’s conclusion?
c. Do you detect any bias in the journal article?
d. Your conclusions based on your understanding of the organism and the journal article
