Business Law Custom Paper

Business Law Students:
In response to student questions I am providing further guidance on the completion of the
business law research paper. Please remember that the business law paper is worth 20% of your
grade.
You are required to research and write a paper on a business law topic of your choice, I circulated
in tutorial a list of topics appropriate for this paper several weeks ago and have spoken generally to
students both in tutorials and out of class about their topics and will assume that each business law
student is at this point moving forward with their paper.
Some points:
Students are advised upon choosing a topic that it may be best to narrow or reduce the topic
down to a specific issue within the topic.
After deciding upon a topic, your research on it may show you that there are many issues within
this topic and that it may be best to narrow down or to limit your topic to one specific issue in
order to bring a focus to your paper.
Each student is to use at least six citations in their paper so please cite at least articles or cases
related to your topic in your paper; you are of course free to use more than six citations and this
may be very necessary in order to properly acknowledge your sources and to prevent plagiarism.
Please be advised that students are required to do their own work in this paper and not to
plagiarize outside sources

Each student will submit on either May 5 or May 6, in your tutorial, you final paper in hard copy
form.
In addition to this, arrangements will be made so that each student will also be submitting an
electronic form a copy of their paper on turnitin.com in order to monitor for plagiarism.
Each student is advised to use the following format in writing their paper:
Introduction (1-2 paragraphs) introducase the topic choosen
Content (Body of paper 3-4 pages) discussion of topic, issues, cases and articles
Summary (1-2 paragraphs) conclusion. explain, observation
The paper must be at least 2,000 words;
please observe proper spelling and grammar in this paper.
